My name is Jessica Gonzalez, and I was born and raised in Fresno, California. My life has been shaped by resilience, perseverance, and a deep passion for helping others. Growing up, school was never easy for me because I struggled with dyslexia and learning challenges that often made me feel like I had to work twice as hard just to keep up. There were times when I doubted myself, but those struggles also built my determination. Instead of letting my learning difficulties define me, I pushed forward and proved to myself that challenges do not determine a person’s potential.

At a young age, I became a mother, and raising my daughter became one of the greatest motivations in my life. Becoming a parent taught me responsibility, strength, and unconditional love. I wanted to show my daughter that no matter what obstacles life puts in front of you, you can rise above them. Today she is older and thriving, and seeing the person she has become reminds me why I kept pushing forward through the hardest moments in my life.

One of the most defining chapters of my life was surviving domestic violence. There was a time when I felt powerless, afraid, and uncertain about my future. Instead of allowing that experience to break me, I chose to turn that pain into purpose. I realized that so many women are silently suffering in abusive relationships, feeling trapped and alone. That realization ignited a passion in me to make sure other women know they have options, support, and a way out.

Today, I dedicate much of my life to advocating for women experiencing domestic violence. Through my outreach and personal platform, I help women find resources, connect them with essentials and safe places to stay, and support them in safely leaving abusive situations. Every woman I help matters deeply to me because I understand the courage it takes to escape and rebuild your life. My advocacy is not just something I speak about it is something I actively live and commit myself to.

Alongside my advocacy work, I have continued pursuing education and personal growth, earning multiple degrees and building a presence in media and social platforms. One of my passions is using my voice to bring awareness, inspire others, and create safe spaces where women feel heard and supported. My goals are to expand my advocacy work, continue growing in media and broadcasting, and build larger platforms that allow me to reach and help even more women in need.

My journey has not been easy, but it has been meaningful. I believe our struggles do not define us they shape us into stronger people. Mysti Dailey’s journey is one built on faith, resilience, and purpose . Born and raised in Fresno, California , Mysti was considered a miracle child by her parents, Gill and Estelle Dailey. Raised in a God-fearing household that valued hard work and service to others, she grew up believing she had a purpose bigger than herself.

That purpose became clearer through her family. Mysti’s older brother Eugene lived with developmental disabilities after suffering a severe reaction to medication as a baby. Watching her parents care for him — and later open Dailey’s Home Care in 1987 to support others with disabilities — planted the seed for what would eventually become Mysti’s life’s work. Mysti graduated from Roosevelt High School at just 16 and later attended UC Davis , but life soon led her toward motherhood, leadership, and entrepreneurship.

In 2005 , Central Valley Regional Center approached Mysti with an opportunity to open a specialized residential home for adults with intellectual disabilities. That moment sparked a vision that would later grow into something much larger. In 2010 , Mysti founded Trinity Development Center , an adult day program dedicated to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities gain life skills, independence, and community connection. Over the years Trinity has grown into a pillar in Fresno, serving families while creating opportunities for individuals who are often overlooked.

But Mysti’s vision didn’t stop there.

Understanding that inclusion and opportunity must exist beyond traditional programs, Mysti expanded her mission into entrepreneurship. Alongside her husband Adrian “Vibes” Harris , she co-founded The Rosé , a vibrant downtown Fresno venue known for bringing culture, entertainment, and community together. The Rosé has also created unique employment opportunities for Trinity clients, allowing individuals with disabilities to gain real-world experience and confidence. Through their work in business and community leadership, Mysti and Adrian saw another need — to highlight the powerful women in Fresno who are shaping the culture, overcoming obstacles, and creating change.

The Top 20 Women of Impact initiative was created to recognize the women whose work, leadership, and influence continue to move Fresno forward. These women come from different industries, backgrounds, and experiences, but they share something powerful in common — resilience, determination, and a commitment to making their community stronger.

The Top 20 Women of Impact platform was created with a simple but meaningful mission:

To give women their flowers while they are here and recognize the influence they have on the culture, the economy, and the community of Fresno.

Too often recognition comes after the fact. This initiative seeks to celebrate women while they are actively building, leading, and inspiring others.

The program began with over 200 nominations submitted by the community, highlighting women who are making a difference across industries such as:

From those nominations, a selection process identified the Top 40 finalists, and ultimately the Top 20 Women of Impact for 2026.

Public voting was included as part of the process, but final selections were also based heavily on measurable impact, leadership, and contributions to the Fresno community.
