Monisha Edwards: A Voice for Mental Health, Cancer Awareness & Social Impact
Entrepreneur, Cancer Survivor, and Advocate for Wellness, Culture, and Community Empowerment

I’m Monisha Edwards, a Fresno native and proud Fresno State Craig School of Business alumna. I established myself as a force in entrepreneurship early on by starting my first business at 19, and have spent the past 16 years honing my skills in marketing, branding, web design, and packaging design. I’m honored to be recognized as a Forbes Next1000 entrepreneur and a Yahoo! Black Changemaker.
In 2019, I launched Scent & Fire® after discovering how aromatherapy could support my mental and emotional well-being during a difficult time as my father’s caregiver. As a recent cancer survivor, I’m deeply committed to raising awareness around colorectal cancer, advocating for mental health, and championing social justice. Through my work, I aim to create products and experiences that support emotional wellness, celebrate culture, and empower others to reclaim their moments of peace and self-expression.
Beyond my business, I am passionate about mentoring and uplifting the next generation of entrepreneurs, especially women of color, by sharing my journey, lessons, and resources. I believe in the power of storytelling, community, and intentional living, and I strive to create spaces where others feel seen, supported, and inspired to build lives and brands rooted in purpose.
